This is a neat product that was optional for the Changfeng Cheetah in China (Montero equivalent).

When headed for a long drive or bumpy roads, rotate lever to support the spare tire weight with the frame instead of the hinges.

It is adjustable within slots, pad height adjustable, and can fit behind a hitch or similar.

I have personally ran one for years with a body lift plus 32 – 35″ tires.

Construction is primarily steel, the silver portions are chromed steel and can be prone to surface rust in some climates.

We recommend greasing the mechanism periodically.
